Log Boilers
Log Boilers
If you have access to a plentiful supply of logs, then it is possible to heat your home and water for free. Also there is an aesthetic appeal to the burning of logs, which is undeniable. Not only is log boiler a provider of your heating, it is also a really stunning interior center-piece.
“For lovers of logs and a real fire, the technology is there to turn it in to a truly modern and controllable heating system.”
Combined with a modern system controller, and a thermal store, will give your log boiler with much of the functionality and controllability of a conventional boiler. It can dispense hot water and heating when required, and not just when the fire is lit.
A log boiler can be part of combined hybrid heating system, together with another heat source (eg: solar thermal, or a secondary boiler). Or a log boiler is capable of being the sole heating system for your home.

WoodFire Insert Log Boiler Stoves
The Woodfire range of insert log boilers represent the latest generation of wood burning stoves. Designed to achieve low emissions, and high efficiencies. There is a wide selection of insert stoves available, either with a boiler, or without a boiler, or with air convection heating options.
Single-sided and double-sided options are available. They can have side-opening, or vertically lifting doors, for that open fire feel. All the boiler models are capable of supplying domestic hot water, and running a full central heating system. They can be connected into open-vented or pressurized systems, have direct air, and can link up with existing boilers.
Great build quality, controllability and impressive efficiency. As well as being a striking center-piece to any room, with limitless design possibilities, that we can help you achieve in your home.
Log Boiler Controller
Log Boiler System Controller
A system controller regulates the burning rate of your log fire or log boiler, allowing you to set the temperatures you want your fire to give you. With a boiler stove, the controller will operate your system pumps, according to your programmed settings, to send heat either to your central heating system, hot water cylinder, or thermal store.
Fully programmable, and with a digital display. A system controller gives your log boiler, the functionality of a modern heating system.
Thermal Store
- Greater Log burner efficiencies
- Stratification baffle
- Hyper insulated 1-2 C loss in 24 hours
- bigger heat exchange coils
Energy Store Thermal Store
Thermal stores allow the storage of energy from renewable sources, in the form of heat, for use when needed.
A thermal store can increase the efficiency of biomass boilers. It allows you to link in multiple renewable energy sources. It increase the convenience of the system, by storing up heat when it is plentiful, for use when needed.
A thermal store also acts as a buffer, supplying an instant source of heat, whilst your boiler comes up to temperature. It can also provide an extra source of heat for periods of high demand. This can allow you to provide all the heat that a property needs, from a boiler which would otherwise be too small.
A thermal store is a must for most log burning boilers, which are batch burners, and comparatively less controllable. (However our pellet boiler range is fine to be integrated into any existing system, as they run in a very controllable fashion, similar to a typical gas or oil boiler.)
A thermal store gives your log based heating system, the usability of a combi-boiler, dispensing heat when required, and not only when the fire is lit.
